Principal's Message

Dear Arrowhead Community,

We are very excited to start the new school year and see all our Arrowhead Thunderbirds back having fun and learning together.  We are energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students, and we look forward to working with the dedicated staff to help provide the best educational environment for our students.

Our past experiences have shown us that it takes a team to help all students reach their maximum potential. The rigorous curriculum we offer is directly aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards.  To help each child achieve his or her full potential, our school provides both enrichment and intervention supports for students. Our students' success does not happen by itself.  It is the result of collaboration between students, families, staff, and the Arrowhead community.  The staff at Arrowhead place an emphasis on collaborating with each other so that students receive the best instruction possible.  We would like to invite all of you to be a part of our school community.  We welcome and encourage parent volunteers and hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities available to you.  These opportunities include working in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, participating on our Parents of Academically Successful Students Committee (P.A.S.S.) or School Accountability Committee (S.A.C.), attending or volunteering at PTCO events, and more.

We thank you for entrusting your children to the Arrowhead staff.  We consider it a great privilege to work with your children and look forward to fostering a challenging, nurturing, and fun learning environment.  We are eager to get to know all of you and engage in the educational process together.

We are delighted and honored to join the Arrowhead family for what we know will be an amazing school year.  Please don't ever hesitate to contact us with your concerns, questions, or just to share good news about your child.  Together we will make it a year filled with learning, laughter, and memorable experiences!

Warmly,

Roberta Ballard, Principal

Melissa Pierce, Assistant Principal
