Extended Childcare Services

What are Extended Childcare Services?

Cherry Creek School District Extended Childcare Services oversees both the Kindergarten Enrichment and Before and After School programs.  Registration and payment for both programs is handled through SchoolCareWorks from your parent portal at my.cherrycreekschools.org.  To request new user access to SchoolCareWorks for either Kindergarten Enrichment and/or Before and After School programs, you first need to email schoolcareworks@cherrycreekschools.org with the information noted below for them to set up your parent account.**

Kindergarten at Arrowhead Elementary is either half-day morning or half-day afternoon class.  The morning session hours are 8:00-11:00 am, while the afternoon session hours are 11:45-2:45 pm.  For those families seeking full-day kindergarten, we have the Kindergarten Enrichment program (KE).  This is a fee-based program offering childcare for the remaining half of your kindergartner's school day, paid on a monthly basis over the course of the school year.  It is available on a first come, first served basis.  There is a minimum number of students required to meet the financial cost of the program.  If we have enough interested families, we will be able to have pm KE for am Kindergartners as well as am KE for pm Kindergartners.  We have had enough interest for the 2018/2019 school year to have both am and pm KE.  If you are interested in full-day kindergarten for your kindergartner 2018/2019, you will need to register for KE.  To begin the registration process, if you do not already have a SchoolCareWorks account you will need to send an email to:

schoolcareworks@cherrycreekschools.org

**The email must include the child's full name, the school they will be attending, date of birth, and student ID number, as well as the full names of any siblings in Cherry Creek Schools.

Our Before and After School Program (B&A) offers childcare for students from 6:30 am until 7:45 am when students are released to their classrooms, as well as from 2:45 pm when students are dismissed through 6:00 pm.  It is also fee-based, on a daily basis.  You can sign up your child for the morning only, afternoon only, or both morning and afternoon, based on your family's childcare needs, on a day-to-day basis as late as 10:00 pm the night before.  Students do need to be registered in advance, as staffing for the day is planned on expected students for the day.  "Drop-in" registration will only be accommodated based on staff availability and at the discretion of the Director.  Before and After also offers full day care on school holidays and in-service staff days as well as over school breaks and during the summer.  To enroll in B&A, if you do not already have a SchoolCareWorks parent account, you must first email schoolcareworks@cherrycreekschools.org with the information noted above.**

If you do already have SchoolCareWorks access in your parent portal from prior years, you do not need to email schoolcareworks@cherrycreekschools.org, but you still need to register each new school year for KE and/or B&A.
