Immunizations

Colorado immunization law requires schools to have an updated record of each student's vaccination status against preventable infectious disease. If you have any questions about these requirements, you can contact your student’s primary care provider or learn more at the state of Colorado's website.

 

Medication

The school nurse must be notified before any medications are sent to school with students. Most medications can be administered before or after school. When medications must be brought to school, the nurse is required by District Policy and state law to have a “Permission to Give Prescription Medication at School” form on file with the doctor’s signed order and the parent’s signature. The medication must be brought in its original container, labeled with the student’s name, the name of the medication, the dosage, and the time and number of days it must be administered.
