My journey with Arrowhead Elementary began when I was a student there, and my love for the school and its community has stayed with me over the years. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children, and I am so grateful that my passion has led me back to Arrowhead. I have been a Before and After Care Leader for nearly six years, and although I may not be at Arrowhead as often as I once was, I am truly blessed to still be part of the Arrowhead community. It means so much to be able to give back to a school that was such an important part of my childhood<3

Hi, Arrowhead Foxes! I am Katherine Aschenberg, and I am thrilled to be returning as the full-time building substitute teacher at Arrowhead! Originally from northern California, I have had the privilege to teach in Hawaii, Wisconsin, and Colorado, from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, over the last 30 years; it is a true joy to call Arrowhead “home” and be part of this amazing community. My favorite place outside of school is curling up with a good book or engaging in board or card games with my husband and three sons. I look forward to sharing this year’s learning adventure with each of you!

Hello I am Dawnyle Ashemu, a seasoned educator, administrator, facilitator, and equity advocate with more than 20 years of experience spanning K–12 and higher education. I currently serve as an Assistant Principal in Cherry Creek School District and previously taught at the collegiate level as an adjunct professor with the University of Northern Colorado Urban Education Center. As an affiliate with Pacific Educational Group, Dawnyle facilitates Courageous Conversations About Race and supports educators and organizations in creating more equitable and culturally responsive environments. She is also a skilled facilitator of educator healing retreats, creating intentional spaces for reflection, restoration, and personal growth. Grounded in relationships, equity, and the power of authentic dialogue, I am passionate about developing educators, transforming systems, and helping people reconnect with their purpose while creating spaces where every person feels seen, valued, and empowered

Hi Arrowhead families! My name is Marissa Chapman, and I am so excited to continue serving this community as Arrowhead's school psychologist. I grew up in the north Denver metro area, spending most of my time outside in the mountains, playing soccer, and reading. After completing my undergraduate degree in California, and before beginning graduate school, I returned to Colorado and began working in special education. I completed my doctoral program in 2025. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, visiting coffee shops and restaurants in my neighborhood, and spending time with friends and family. I love to travel and will take any opportunity to visit a new country.

I have three grown children, all of whom attended and graduated from Cherry Creek schools. I am a Colorado native! When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, traveling, and making memories with my husband, son, and extended family. I am a graduate of Smoky Hill High School and the University of Wyoming. For me, being at Arrowhead means I can give back to the community that gave me so much throughout my childhood. I’ve been working at Arrowhead for a few years, and I absolutely love being part of a team that supports kids. Growing up with four brothers and being a triplet, definitely prepared me for the energy and chaos that comes with working with children! I also have a young niece who’s helped me see just how rewarding it is to make a positive impact in a child’s day. Working with kids makes me feel like I’m truly making a difference, whether it’s helping them solve a problem or just being someone they can count on. I also enjoy drawing, crocheting, and swimming.

Hi, I am Melanie Faherty. I serve the Arrowhead community by helping to keep our students healthy, happy, hydrated, and well supplied with ice packs! I am a Colorado native who has traded the chaos of working in adult ICU for MANY years for the slightly stickier life in an elementary school. I have three boys of my own, making me love working with little children even more. When I am not running my boys around to all their activities, I enjoy traveling, reading, running, riding my bike, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to seeing returning students and meeting all the new ones.

I was born and raised in Colorado, and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Grand Canyon University, where I got my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Throughout college, I worked as a substitute teacher for two years, filling roles in classrooms from kindergarten through 8th grade. I then returned to Colorado to complete my student teaching here in the Cherry Creek School District. I strive for my classroom to be a space where every student feels seen, heard, and encouraged to grow both academically and personally. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy camping, spending time with friends and family, building my photography business, traveling, and snuggling with my two sweet cats. I can't wait for the amazing year ahead!

What's up Arrowhead! My name's Hunter, I'm here as the go-to for any resources our families need. I've been a Spanish and English interpreter all over the Denver metro area. I have served in schools with IEP meetings and 504 plans, as well as in healthcare with pediatric/developmental therapies and rehabilitation, as well as working with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. I continue to volunteer once a month with the RSVP Clinic at Craig Hospital. I have also taught English and Spanish to families through in-home and online tutoring. Being an educator is more than my passion, it is my calling and I dedicate my unrelenting advocacy to empowering students and championing equity in education. I am honored to be part of the Arrowhead Fox Den, which is a community full of incredible students, educators, and families! I grew up in Cherry Creek Schools and started in the district as a before and after assistant. Since then, I have served as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade teacher as well as an instructional coach and assistant principal in CCSD. I also had the opportunity to teach in international schools for seven years in Germany, Oman, and Hong Kong where I served as a Technology Integration Coordinator, 3rd grade teacher, and 1st grade teacher. No matter what role I hold, I will always be a teacher at heart! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on long walks and hikes with my dog, and traveling. I’m a Colorado native and a proud graduate of Cherry Creek Schools, so I know firsthand how amazing this school district is. It’s one of the reasons I became a teacher—I wanted to make a meaningful impact just like my teachers did.

My name is Alexandrea McIntosh, I have been blessed to worked with and around children for sixteen years; as a student teacher in high school, nanny, parent, volunteer in CCSD, and a CCSD employee. I'm excited to be going into my second year with Arrowhead Elementary as 2E Severe Needs Para & crossing guard. I have been at Rolling Hills Elementary B&A as a leader for three years. I am very active in my kid's schools in my free time. I have been honored as Exceptional Volunteer at Meadow Point Elementary, Arrowhead Elementary, and Horizon Community Middle School. I am currently on the Arrowhead Elementary PTCO board as president. I am also on the boards for parents' council and HCMS. I have over 9 years of experience on a PTCO board. Hello! My name is Lisa Moore, and I am the Social Worker for Twice-Exceptional students. I began my journey with the Cherry Creek School District twenty years ago as a Security Specialist and have since gained experience in both clinical and school-based mental health settings—most recently supporting students at Traverse Academy. I’m passionate about helping neurodiverse learners recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and thrive both academically and emotionally. Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our two young grandsons. We also own a small business where we teach urban line dancing at events such as birthday parties, family reunions, and community celebrations. It’s a fun way for us to stay active, connect with others, and build community through movement and music. I’m thrilled to be part of a team that values the unique potential of every student and look forward to collaborating to support students and their families.

Hi Families! My name is Mrs. Natacha. I’m so honored to teach Pre-K yet another year. As Michael Scott would say, “Well it’s in the genes. I earned my teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado (go Bears!) with an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. Supporting multilingual learners is one of my greatest passions. I believe the diversity of our students, families, and community is one of our greatest strengths, and I am committed to fostering a classroom where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Arrowhead holds a special place in my heart. I attended Arrowhead from kindergarten through 5th grade, began my career here working in the before- and after-school program as a high schooler, and now I’m proud to be part of this amazing staff as an educator. My son is an Arrowhead alum, and my daughter attends here as well!

Hi, My Name is Bobbie Smith. I am the Director of Arrowhead Kit Club, also known as the Before and After School Program. My staff and I provide a fun and safe place for children to go before and after School as well as school breaks. We provide activities like craft, gym game, free play and outside play on a regular basis as well as Field Trips on breaks. We accept all children as soon as they turn 5 years old and they can stay until the last day of summer right before they start the 6th grade. With more than 15 years of experience in education, primarily in Denver Public Schools, I am passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I hold two master's degrees, including one in Social, Multicultural, and Bilingual Foundations of Education, and I speak Spanish. I love being part of the Arrowhead community and believe in creating inclusive classrooms where every student feels seen, supported, and challenged. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and staying active. My favorite place in the world is Spain, where I lived and studied and have returned to visit many times. I'm originally from Colorado, and I did go to Arrowhead for elementary school! I've been playing softball since I was 8 years old, and love to be outside doing fun activities. When I'm not working or playing sports, I love being with my family and my 2 rescued pitbulls, Reign and Bandit. I graduated from Eaglecrest High School and got a softball scholarship to play at Creighton University in Omaha, NE (go jays!). I played there for 5 years where I earned my bachelors in Healthy Lifestyle Management and my masters in Integrative Health and Wellness.
