I’ve been working at Arrowhead for two years, and I absolutely love being part of a team that supports kids during lunch, recess, and aftercare. Growing up with four brothers and being a triplet, definitely prepared me for the energy and chaos that comes with working with children! I also have a 3-year-old niece who’s helped me see just how rewarding it is to make a positive impact in a child’s day. Working with kids makes me feel like I’m truly making a difference, whether it’s helping them solve a problem or just being someone they can count on. I enjoy drawing, crocheting, and swimming.

Severe Needs Para / Before and After Care Leader
Email
I have worked at Arrowhead for the past six years and am passionate about supporting kids with social-emotional needs. I’m also involved in the Arrowhead Kit Club, where I enjoy building connections with students through hands-on activities and creative play. As a mom of three (ages 17, 12, and 7), I bring both personal and professional experience to my work with children. Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors—playing softball, paddleboarding, and fishing are some of my favorite ways to recharge. I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where all kids can grow and thrive.

My name is Deja Washington and I am so excited to start a new school year here teaching fifth grade at Arrowhead! I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and I moved to Colorado this summer. This is my seventh year teaching. I have taught fifth grade for 4 years and fourth grade for 2. I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. Building relationships with students and families and sharing my love for learning brings me joy. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, baking, reading, and being creative!

Hello! My name is Miss Willett. I am so excited to be working with 1st grade this year! I love to help all students grow and to reach their personal goals academically, and socially. My goal is to make sure that all my students know that no matter what I am rooting for them in life! I have worked in Aurora Public Schools teaching 4th grade and Kindergarten prior to this year at Arrowhead Elementary. Some fun facts about me is that I work for a cheerleading company in the summer, and throughout the school year. I am a Colorado native so I love the mountains. I also love to spend time with my family, and friends.
